Cherish Every Moment

I have learned to cherish every moment I have. I will no longer complain about a baby who doesn't sleep through the night. I will no longer complain about a cranky, fussy baby. I will be thankful that God has given me a beautiful baby boy. I won't complain about a husband who works lates, or on the weekends. I will be thankful that my husband has a job that puts food on our table and a roof over our head. I will not complain about cooking dinner, cleaning the house, or doing the laundry. I will be thankful that I am able to do these things. I will remember that God has given me more to be thankful for than I deserve. He has shown me that there are families that have the world falling apart around them, yet they know that God is with them and it is in his plan. The Marsh Family has just lost their little girl, Layla Grace, but they have faith that I hope I can one day have. They have shown me what true faith is about. Rest in peace little Layla. You are no longer in pain and you are with God, a perfect little angel.

Happy 5 Years!

Five years ago I married the love of my life. Five years ago, he made me a better person. And five years ago, I made the best decision I have ever made. It's hard to believe it's only been 5 years. So much has changed in our lives. We bought a house. We have bought 5 vehicles (and sold 3), 3 4-wheelers (and sold 2), we know are proud boat owners (or I should say, Keith is....), we have been to Costa Rica, Lake Tahoe, a couple trips to Baltimore, and are planning a trip to Japan this summer. Our friends have gotten married, gotten divorced, had babies, and some have some fixing to go to college. There have been ups and downs, but nothing has brought us more joy than our little man. He makes us laugh on a daily basis and is a contsant reminder of how much we love each other and blessed we truly are. BEST Valentine's Day Present EVER!!!

So, even though Valentine's Day is still a couple weeks away, I got my present early last night. Keith and I went to see Cody Canada from Cross Canadian Ragweed at Dosey Doe in The Woodlands. It was, hands down, one of the best concerts we have ever been too. It was totally acoustic, just him and his guitar. He told stories behind the songs and sang some of the best! Oh ya...and did you know this is where I came up with my Cody's name? Here are the pictures and a video of one of my favorite songs.

Happenings around the Texter house...

So, for Christmas I got a new camera (well it was my dad's but it's new to me) and I love it! I have been wanting to get back into the photography thing for a while. Keith always tells me I need a hobby and now I have one. I just don't think he realized what he was getting into...lol. The weather was finally nice enough to get Cody out of the house for a while so we took him to the park on Saturday. He LOVES to swing and he has so much fun with Keith. I was able to get some pretty good pictures of him:

On Sunday, I let Cody play on the porch for a little bit since he was getting cabin fever. I'm so thankful for digital cameras because I have discovered that I would be broke if I had to process and print all of the pictures I take. I can't help it, I think he's pretty cute and love to take pictures of him :-)

I can't believe it! Cody's not even 8 months old and he's walking while holding on to something! It's just going by too fast
